Bret Integrated Controls & Engineering is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Web Developer to design and develop highly customizable websites tailored to our unique requirements. We prioritize flexibility and innovation, avoiding pre-built templates in favor of bespoke solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with our in-house team, focusing on user experience and design collaboration.
Design and Develop fully customized, high-performance websites with a strong emphasis on flexibility and scalability.
Collaborate with a 2-person in-house team, ensuring seamless integration of user-centric design and functionality.
Work Iteratively, incorporating feedback from stakeholders through regular progress meetings (weekly/bi-weekly).
Implement Custom Features that align with our specifications, optimizing usability and performance.
Ensure Cross-Platform Compatibility and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
Maintain and Enhance websites over the long term, supporting continuous improvement and future projects.
Proven Experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing custom-built websites (not based on templates).
Technical Proficiency in multiple front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Vue, Angular, Node.js, Python, PHP, or others).
Strong UI/UX Sensibility to collaborate with the in-house team on design-focused development.
Familiarity with Functional Specifications and ability to translate them into effective solutions.
Strong Communication Skills in English to ensure smooth collaboration and progress updates.
Flexible Work Schedule with 4-6 hours of overlap in the Central Time Zone for meetings and discussions.
Experience with custom CMS development.
Background in engineering-related industries.
Knowledge of accessibility best practices.
Long-Term Engagement (1-3 years minimum) with a steady pipeline of projects.
