Project Management Process Excellence Intern Contract

The Novelis Corporate team is seeking an IT Intern in Global IT PMO and Strategic Planning department. The person in this role will report to the Global IT PMO Head. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of the Global IT projects portfolio through its tools such as Accolade, PowerBI, SharePoint, and MS Office.  

The intern will learn about business and IT drivers for creating and managing strategic IT portfolio, along with insights of efficient collaboration in IT portfolio and IT project execution. The intern will get hands–on experience in the related tools. In addition, the intern will learn about standard IT project management methodologies and related processes.  

Responsibilities: 

• Validate portfolio and projects content 

• Support managing portfolio and projects key details 

• Create and maintain information in related tools. 

• Create and maintain project templates 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University 

• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation 

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization 

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer 

• Safety focus mentality 

• Teamwork focused 

• Familiar with MS Office suite 

• Basic knowledge of data analytics, database management, and project management 

• Ability to learn, research and absorb information 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Business Major, Information Systems, or Computer Science major 

• Completed 2nd year of university
