Catalyst Consulting Group is a fast-growing IT consultancy in Chicago that has been servicing public sector clients for 30 years. We’re looking for a talented, inventive, passionate, and driven Senior Project Manager with an entrepreneur mind-set to lead large-scale technology-based implementations and ensure they are delivered on time, within budget and meets the high standards that we hold ourselves accountable for.

Key Activities
- Create MS Project plan to keep the team and stakeholders informed and on track
- Review and comment on project requirements and design documentation
- Conduct standups and weekly meetings with key stakeholders
- Be heavily involved in the QA process to assist with test plan creation, drive execution and validate the results
- Assist with data analysis using MS Excel connected to various data bases and assist with validating data between various exchanges (or similar tools)
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Required Skills/Abilities
- 3+ years of Technical Project Management Experience inclusive of leading/overseeing the implementation of technical solutions
- PMP / PRINCE II certification a plus
- CSM / PSM certification a plus
- Salesforce Experience and/or Certifications a plus
- SAP ERP implementation experience a plus
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence a plus
- Great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Experience working as a consultant in the public sector a plus
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Project
